Sarsaparilla contains trace minerals of iron, magnesium, selenium, calcium and zinc.
Used by people in the Caribbean that have found that it relieved rheumatism, general physical weakness, sexual impotence, headaches, colds, joint pain and skin problems. It also has been used to treat gout, gonorrhea, open wounds, arthritis, cough, fever, hypertension, pain, a lack of sexual desire and indigestion.
Rinse the root. Place in a cup. Pour boiling water over it. Seep for 5 minutes. Get another cup. Place strainer over the cup and pour over the strainer. Flavor with raw honey.
